Richmond Shire Council

The town of Richmond, situated half-way between Townsville and Mt Isa, is recognised as being one of the most attractive outback towns in Queensland and a town that takes pride in its appearance. It proudly boasts taking out the title of Queensland's Tidiest Town 2001 in the Keep Australia Beautiful Awards.

Richmond's streets are lined with striking native garden beds, parks and recreation areas, which are always neat, well kept and green. The town has the social and economic facilities and amenities equal to much larger towns.
