About the directory

Public Library services in Queensland

In Queensland, most public library services are provided by Local Government. A partnership between them and the State Library of Queensland (representing the State Government) ensures these services maintain a high quality. Over 340 public libraries within seventy-three Local Governments currently benefit from this partnership in their efforts to meet the library needs of Queensland residents.
